Varsity Football Safety Protocols

Muskogee Public Schools reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual from the school event at any time.

The safety and security of Muskogee Public Schools’ students, employees, and fans remains the district’s top priority. In an effort to create an environment where all spectators can enjoy varsity football games with a sense of security and well-being, Muskogee Public Schools will implement the following additional safety and security measures beginning Friday, September 8, 2023.

Who Can Attend: Muskogee High School varsity football games are open to the public with the following stipulations.

  • All students in kindergarten through 7th grade must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times for the duration of the event.
  • All 8th through 12th-grade students NOT AFFILIATED with either team must have an ID and be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
  • All MPS 8th through 12th-grade students must be verified by their school administration before being allowed entry to Rougher Village.
  • Muskogee High School students must enter the stadium through the gate located on the west of the field behind the press box.

Entry to Rougher Village Arena:

  • All spectators are required to enter through a Weapons Detection System.
  • General admission is available at gates on the south side of the stadium on both the east and west sides of the Rougher Village Arena.
  • Muskogee High School students must enter the stadium through the gate located on the west of the field behind the press box.

Personal Items:

  • Friendly reminder: please check your pockets before entering the gates
    • (NO pocket knives, NO boxcutters )
  • One bag per person is allowed.
  • Clutch-style wallet OR clear bag must meet the following
  • requirements:
  • Clutch-style Wallet 6.5 in by 4.5 in
  • Clear Tote: 12 in by 6 in by 12 in
  • 1 Gallon Clear Plastic Storage Bag

No Re-entry:

  • There is no readmittance to the stadium after exiting.
  • No entry after the end of the 2nd quarter of the game OR once capacity is reached.
  • No loitering allowed in school parking lots or on school property.
  • No ticket sales after the 2nd Quarter.
  • Muskogee Public Schools reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual from the school event at any time.

Service Animals - MPS Board Policy 111060 

  • Muskogee Public Schools permits students and/or adults with disabilities to be accompanied by a service dog in its facilities and programs and intends to comply with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations regarding the use of service dogs by district employees, students, and visitors with disabilities.
  • The district does not allow “emotional support animals” or “therapy animals.”
  • No service dogs will be allowed to remain on MPS property without current proof of vaccination.
  • Service dogs must remain under the control of the owner at all times.
