Assessment
Oklahoma School Testing Program (OSTP)
3rd - 8th and 11th-grade standardized testing state assessments are administered one time per school year. A US History state assessment is administered to high school students.
SAT/ACT & PSAT/NMSQT Exams
Students in the 11th grade are required to take the College & Career Readiness Assessment ACT or SAT. These are college admissions tests required by most colleges across the US and aligned to both Oklahoma and National Standards.
The Practice SAT and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying (PSAT/NMSQT) Exam is the practice version of the SAT administered to 10th & 11th-grade students. 11th-grade students scoring at the highest ends of the NMSQT are eligible to receive various scholarships, many resulting in complete college compensation.
Advanced Placement (AP) Tests
AP exams are standardized tests designed to assess skill and content mastery in specific AP courses. Students in Muskogee Public Schools can take exams in the course they are currently enrolled in and meet the passing requirements. Students who take these exams may have the advantage of scholarships, college credit, and academic transcripted credibility for college admissions.
