Mondays with Mendenhall - Nov. 11, 2019
I’d like to start by saying thank you to those of you who have served our country in the Armed Forces on this Veterans Day. Last week, some of our sites hosted Veterans Day assemblies or ceremonies and many will host one today or tomorrow. This is a great opportunity for our students to learn of the sacrifices these brave men and women made for our freedom. I had the privilege to attend the High School AFJROTC ceremony Friday morning and it was a great tribute to our Veterans.
This Friday, the Varsity football team hosts Choctaw in the opening round of the State Playoffs at Indian Bowl for a 7 p.m. kickoff. I hope to see many of you there cheering on our football team, cheerleaders, dance team, band and AFJROTC.
Last Wednesday, the Pride of Muskogee competed in the OSSAA Marching Band Regional in Tahlequah and earned a one rating. What an accomplishment for our students and our band staff!
Have a great week!
