December Employees of the Month Recognized
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee Public Schools recognized its December Employees of the Month during Tuesday’s regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting.
The district applauded elementary certified employee Miranda Beth Ward, secondary certified employee Emily Lewis, and support employees Pam Coleman and Tracie Aldridge.
Miranda Beth Ward is a special education teacher at Tony Goetz Elementary. Ward has served Muskogee Public Schools for seven years. She is an integral part of Camp Bennett and thoroughly enjoys working with the district’s special education students during the summer months.
Emily Lewis joined Muskogee Public Schools this August and serves as a math teacher at the 7th & 8th Grade Academy at Ben Franklin. One nomination submitted on behalf of Lewis stated that she has a very positive growth mindset, believes her students can succeed and pushes students to focus on the goals they have set for themselves.
Pam Coleman joined MPS last year serving the district as a Computer Technician within our information technology department. Coleman is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone when someone calls the information technology helpdesk. She has served a vital role in the district’s initiative to digitally archive and through that process, she has personally scanned 2 million pages.
Tracie Aldridge serves the district as the Benefits Specialist in the human resources department. Aldridge joined MPS in 2016 first in the transportation department before transitioning to human resources. She handles the district’s insurance, FMLA, worker’s compensation in a customer-friendly way.
