Mondays with Mendenhall - Feb. 3, 2020
I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the Super Bowl. Of course, I enjoyed the commercials the best and the halftime show was one for the record books.
First, I would like to thank the Muskogee Education Foundation and their board for making Trivia Night another huge success last Friday. It was a wonderful evening with over 450 in attendance.
For the second year, I happened to be on the winning team at Trivia Night which is always fun. However, I wish I could take all the credit, but my teammates more than carried me again this year. My secret is recruiting Eric Wells and John Little to be on my team - between the two they knew the answer to every question.
Another thank you goes to our maintenance and technology staff that have worked hard the past four days preparing the Harris Jobe site for the students and staff from Whittier Elementary. After a collapsed sewer line was discovered Wednesday our staff went to work preparing for the next steps. I also want to thank the teachers and staff at Whittier Elementary for working to prepare a new location. I am proud of the way everyone pulled together to make this a good situation for the Whittier students.
With Parent-Teacher Conferences this week, please take this opportunity to showcase the great work you are doing each day with your students.
Have a great week!
