Muskogee Public Schools Announces Positive COVID-19 Case
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee Public Schools has verified today that one staff member at Muskogee High School tested positive for COVID-19. The affected areas at the High School will be thoroughly cleaned overnight.
Staff members who have been in direct contact with the individual who tested positive have been notified by administration. No students had direct contact with this employee.
Following CDC protocols, the staff member who tested positive will be in self-isolation for 10 days from the date of the positive test or onset of symptoms. Any staff members who are identified as having direct contact with the employee will need to quarantine for 14 days.
Once MPS learned of the positive COVID-19 test results, the Muskogee County Health Department was notified of the situation. Along with MCHD, MPS will assist employees as we work through this positive staff case.
Families at the High School were notified about this positive case by a School Messenger call today at 4:30 p.m.
