Inspired by a true event and featuring the Tony-nominated score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Bright Star tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and ‘40s.
Bright Star is a brilliant, moving piece that is sure to make you laugh, make you cry, and sometimes you may want to clap your hands or tap your feet. WE ENCOURAGE THIS! Working on this piece together has been a ray of sunshine for all of us, and we are ready to share it with you.
“Love let me lift this veil of darkness…Love let me see my way back to you” – from the finale of Bright Star.
In order to ensure the safety of the audience and students, Muskogee High School (MHS) is limiting the number of patrons allowed at each performance. Pre-COVID-19, MHS had 1,000 seats available, now in a time that calls for extra safety precautions we are limiting the number of patrons to 300 per show.
We ask all patrons to purchase tickets online. Due to socially distance seating, tickets will be sold in blocks of 1, 2, 3, and 4 seats. Tickets will need to be purchased in blocks that fit your group size.
