Muskogee Basketball Continues Postseason Play
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Lady Rougher and Rougher Basketball rolls on in postseason play as both teams will compete in the OSSAA Area Tournament beginning this Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5, 2021.
The Muskogee Girls will face Stillwater at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4 inside the Union Multipurpose Activity Center (UMAC) on the campus of Union High School. Tickets will be $7.00 and can be purchased in person at the gate. Gates will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. OSSAA Playoff Passes will be accepted but are only valid for the card holder. Capacity at the UMAC will be limited to 1,416 spectators with face coverings required for all spectators. Backpacks, signs, banners,and flags are prohibited.
With a victory Thursday night, Muskogee would advance to the consolation contest versus the loser of the Bixby and Union game. The consolation contest is scheduled to tip at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 inside the UMAC with the winner of that game advancing to the State Tournament.
The Muskogee Boys will face Midwest City at 8 p.m. Friday, March 5 inside John Smith Fieldhouse on the campus of Del City High School. Tickets are $7.00, per the OSSAA, and will be sold at the gate. Per the Mid-Del School District capacity is limited to 300 tickets per game with each team allotted 150 tickets. Gates will open at 7:40 p.m. for the 8:00 p.m. contest. OSSAA Playoff Passes will be accepted per OSSAA guidelines. Following the first game, between Del City and Broken Arrow, the gym will be cleared and cleaned. Masks are required at all times for spectators and workers inside John Smith Fieldhouse and social distancing is highly recommended.
Midwest City will be broadcasting Friday night’s game versus Muskogee at https://www.oksportsnet.com/midwest-city/ as part of the Oklahoma Sports Network.
With a victory Friday night, Muskogee would advance to the consolation contest versus the loser of the Broken Arrow and Del City game. The consolation contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday at John Smith Fieldhouse. Saturday night the gate will open for ticket sales at 6:15 p.m.
