Platter Earns Athletic Administrator Certification
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee Public Schools Assistant Athletic Director James Platter has been recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) as a Certified Athletic Administrator.
Platter has demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration by completing the voluntary certification process. The NIAAA does a thorough evaluation of a candidate’s educational background, experience, and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination.
Platter was recognized by the Oklahoma Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (OIAAA) as the East Newcomer Athletic Director of the Year for 2019-2020 and has served Muskogee for many years as an educator and coach. He was named Assistant Athletic Director at MPS prior to the 2018-19 school year.
The NIAAA is a national professional organization consisting of all 50 state athletic administrator associations and more than 12,000 individual members. It is dedicated to promoting the professional growth of interscholastic athletic administrators and preserving the educational nature of interscholastic athletics and the place of these programs in the secondary school curriculum.
