History of New Tech at Cherokee
New Tech at Cherokee is an elementary school in the Muskogee Public School district. New Tech at Cherokee strives to engage each scholar in project based learning experiences which work to develop a growth mindset and challenge scholars to take full ownership of their learning. Project Based Learning (PBL) is an instructional strategy where students work for extended periods of time to respond to a question, challenge or problem that is significant to their interest and community. Each Project Based Learning experience aligns with the Oklahoma Academic Standards (OAS) English Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Writing and Science. This method of instruction supports the school's desire to build well rounded scholars who are able to think critically and develop a lifelong love for learning. New Tech at Cherokee is also committed to preparing scholars to make meaningful contributions both to their community and the lives of others. New Tech at Cherokee works closely with the New Tech Network (NTN) to enhance and ensure educational achievement for every scholar.
