New Tech at Cherokee Elementary Leadership
Dr. Reubin McIntosh
Principal, Cherokee New Tech
This is Dr. McIntosh’s first year at MPS. Dr. McIntosh previously was the Director of Student Success and College Readiness for Tulsa Public Schools. He also held the positions of Assistant Principal, Teacher and Academic Coach during his tenure with Tulsa Public Schools. Prior to working for Tulsa Public Schools, he was the Senior Coordinator of Academic Services for the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. McIntosh earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication and African and African American Studies, and a Masters of Arts in Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma. He obtained his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and School Administration at Oklahoma State University. Dr. McIntosh received the University of Oklahoma Raymond Gary Memorial Scholar Award in 2012 and the Oklahoma State University College of Education Ambassador Award in 2014.
Dr. McIntosh is a volunteer with the Reading Partners organization as a tutor and at the Caring Center at First Baptist Church. He is committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all students. With this idea in mind, he knows that the sky’s the limit for our students at Cherokee New Tech.
