Logo and Branding Guide
In order to protect both its reputation and the public at large, Muskogee Public Schools restricts the unauthorized usage of its name, trademarks, and logos.
Any unauthorized use of trademarks, logos or verbiage (registered by or identified with Muskogee Public Schools) constitutes a violation of Oklahoma laws governing trademark infringement and unfair competition. Oklahoma law permits the owner of a trademark to obtain injunctive relief restraining further infringement; money damages, including disgorgement of profits derived from the wrongful sale of trademarked merchandise; and an order requiring destruction of any such counterfeits or imitations in the offender’s possession. If necessary, the district will take appropriate legal action to protect its rights.
District groups may utilize the district's logos free of charge to produce items representing their team, unit or school site. These items must not represent the district as a whole.
Examples:
Baseball booster club may use logos to sell Muskogee baseball hats, shirts or other apparel. Merchandise must mention Roughers Baseball instead of Muskogee Roughers, Muskogee Public Schools or only the logo.
PTA groups or school sites may use logos for one-time fundraisers, however, merchandise must mention the school site instead of Muskogee Roughers, Muskogee Public Schools or only the logo.
All materials using the district's logos must be approved in advance by the communications department. Items will not be approved unless they are correctly used in conjunction with the logo style guide.
