Dr. Malinda Lindsey
Principal, Early Childhood Center
Dr. Lindsey has served as principal of Muskogee Early Childhood Center since 2012. She has worked in the Muskogee School District since 2009 when she became principal at Tony Goetz Elementary.
Malinda previously worked as a classroom teacher for Fort Gibson Public Schools from 1997 till 2009. From 2005 to 2009, Malinda was an adjunct instructor at Northeastern State University in the department of Early Childhood Teacher Education. She spent two years as a classroom teacher at Broken Arrow Public Schools.
Dr. Lindsey earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tulsa before earning a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State. She earned her PhD in Curriculum Studies with an emphasis in Educational Leadership from Oklahoma State University where her research studies focused on Early Literacy and Play Pedagogy.
She has earned the Promising Practice award from Character.org six times including most recently in 2019. In 2016, Muskogee ECC was named a State and National School of Character under the leadership of Dr. Lindsey.
