Student Leadership

I'm involved in student council because Muskogee is too big to dream small. I take it as a responsibility to make sure Muskogee sees growth and I help by setting big goals for our class and school. We are unique and like no other with us being the only Roughers in the world. I am very passionate about Muskogee and make it personal and work to inspire others to feel the same way. To keep Muskogee moving in the right direction, we have to be proud of where we come from and be our own advocate. I also believe in youth engagement, that being one of my main platforms and push for all of our students to be involved in at least one way or more. Our school is experiencing a major culture movement right now and that is because of student involvement, but if we want it to continue and gain more momentum we need to keep students involved, we are the root of change. |
I have been a member of my classes student council since Freshman year. I extremely enjoy collaborating with my classmates to find new ways to show our Rougher Pride. I also am involved in student council to help be a voice for the students who feel like they may not belong in the class of 2021. I try to include everyone when it comes to planning events, class shirts, and find new ways to show that "Everyday is a Great Day to be a Rougher!" |

I love being involved at MHS, enjoy getting to know other students who loved being involved too, and love helping put together great projects that our class will love!! |

Student Council is a fun way to be social and get involved. I wanted to push myself to run for an office position to do my part in making my school a better place. |

I hope to make a difference and give the Student Council a different perspective on how to run the Student Council differently. My goal is to bring recognition to school functioning events and to give others a chance to get involved. I hope to strengthen my skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, organization, and public speaking. With those skills strengthened, I hope it will help me during class and in life, in general. |
