A huge THANK YOU to the Muskogee Church of Christ for supporting our students and families this holiday season! Their generous donation of 60 Thanksgiving baskets will support students in the McKinney-Vento program, students who are doubled up, and independent students across our district.
We also appreciate our MPS Technology Department for teaming up with our family liaison and social workers to help distribute the baskets today.

2025 MPS District Showcase Recap!
This year’s District Showcase brought community members, student leaders, and district administrators together for a firsthand look at Muskogee Public Schools’ innovative programs and recently renovated facilities.
The day began at the Early Childhood Center at The Springs, where guests explored classrooms and the outdoor learning space while learning about the center’s intergenerational learning model and Reggio Emilia–inspired approach. Students also shared a few Thanksgiving songs to kick off the day.
At the 6th & 7th Grade Academy, visitors were welcomed by our 7th Grade Band and enjoyed performances from the Band, Choir, and Rock Band, along with updates on the program’s exceptional growth and student accomplishments.
The tour concluded at the newly renovated Soccer and Track & Field Complex in the Field House at Indian Bowl, featuring four new locker rooms and athletic spaces serving both soccer and track & field. Lunch followed, along with a district update from Dr. Mendenhall.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—we look forward to seeing you again next year! 💚
