Congratulations to the 12 Muskogee High School seniors who completed the Elevate 18 program through Workforce Development Muskogee Port Authority!
Over five weeks, these students gained valuable knowledge in OSHA standards, technology basics, and professional skills, all designed to help prepare them for a future in the manufacturing industry right here in Muskogee. We’re proud of their hard work and excited to see where their futures lead!

SUPPORT EMPLOYEES OF THE YEAR FINALISTS:
Our first finalist is Helen Ingram, Front Office Secretary at Muskogee High School. Helen joined Muskogee Public Schools in January of 2022. In her role, Helen is often the first person to greet students, parents, and visitors with a smile and a helping hand. Her positive attitude and commitment to excellence have made her an invaluable part of the high school team.
Our second finalist is Sam Taylor, Bus Driver for the Transportation Department. Sam has been with Muskogee Public Schools since April 25, 1971 — serving our students and families for an incredible 54 years. Sam’s commitment to safety, reliability, and caring service has made a lasting impact on generations of Roughers. His steady presence and deep care for students are truly remarkable.
Our third finalist is Sue Williams, Principal Secretary at the Muskogee 8th & 9th Grade Academy. Sue began her journey with Muskogee Public Schools in 2021. She brings a sense of organization, calm, and kindness to everything she does. Sue supports our staff, students, and families with dedication and care, making sure every day runs smoothly and efficiently.
The District Support Employee of the Year will be announced May 1st during our annual Superintendent's Honors Banquet. Stay tuned!

SITE TEACHER OF THE YEAR SPOTLIGHT: Ra'Chelle Duncan, Creek Elementary
1. Ra'Chelle has proudly served Muskogee Public Schools for three and a half years!
2. The best piece of advice she's ever received is to follow your passion and find joy in the journey.
3. In her free time, Ra'Chelle enjoys cooking, planning parties, and traveling.
